I love this song, even after all these years it still resonates. It is one of the last songs that we recorded, and I love the guitar work on this song. It is ironic that musically we were getting better, closer to being what we wanted to be, yet we were so close to the end and all the positive rhetoric that I wrote couldn’t change the fact that the loss of the record deal and recriminations were just too much to take.
But this song is still my mantra, what do I do when my world it falls? I get up and keep on trying. The years have passed, people I loved are gone, I live with my mistakes and in those desperate moments, I try to get through the day and find a positive attitude so that I can keep on going.
Verse One
What can you do when your world, it falls?
Living with mistakes is hard for us all.
We all feel alone in the desperate moments,
from this depression we can only climb.
Chorus
What do you do when your world it falls?
What do you do when there’s no one to call?
A virgin to life, you can’t know it all,
you can’t know it all.
Verse Two
You may be down but who says you’re finished?
They may count you out and be proclaimed the winner.
Things turn around, this is just the beginning,
every man he has his day, believe it I mean it!
Chorus
What do you do when your world it falls?
What do you do when there’s no one to call?
A virgin to life, you can’t know it all,
you can’t know it all.
Mid
Taking each day with a new attitude,
taking each day having something to prove.
This is the way when you’ve nothing to lose,
nothing to lose.
Chorus
What do you do when your world it falls?
What do you do when there’s no one to call?
A virgin to life, you can’t know it all,
you can’t know it all.

RECORDING NOTES
This is an old recording, but there is nothing that I would change about the arrangement. I do wish that still had the original so that it could be remastered, but the song is good enough for me at this time not to want to rush out and do a new recording and just share it.
