Anyone who knows me, knows that I love comicbook movies, from Marvel to DC. When Tim Burton released his Batman movie it blew me away, finally we had something darker, closer Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns graphic novel, which has been now made into an animated movie in two parts.

I loved the way that Jack Nicholson took the Joker character to a darker place. I found the movie inspirational and this song is my tribute to that movie and to the character THE JOKER

Verse One
In this deadly game we are caught.
Truth is pain and the truth will shock.
One big mistake made the big house rock
and this old world no does dispair.

Verse Two
For evil rises, its so obscene.
No use denying for I believe
the dealer’s laid the hand you’ve got
and fate decrees if you win or not!

Chorus
But it’s alright, it’s alright.
It’s alright to be afraid.
But it’s alright, it’s alright.
It’s alright cause the Joker’s here.

Verse Three
In this insane world you have an insane man.
He’ll help you smile, he’s a funny man.
The killing joke, you’ll soon understand.
You can go out with a smile!

Chorus
But it’s alright, it’s alright.
It’s alright to be afraid.
But it’s alright, it’s alright.
It’s alright cause the Joker’s here.

Mid
The innocent can’t stay that way,
in this world of hate they shall learn to trade.
Their innocence shall fade away
and what is left, I dare not say.

Chorus
But it’s alright, it’s alright.
It’s alright to be afraid.
But it’s alright, it’s alright.
It’s alright cause the Joker’s here.

RECORDING NOTES

This is and old recording, it was recorded back in 1991 and it is possibly one of the last 404 recordings. The reason I haven’t thought to release it is only because I used audio clips from the Batman movie in it. Hey me Michael Keaton, Kim Basinger and Jack Nicholson are in a song together lol. I would have loved to make a video for this and did contact Warner Bros to gain approval, even went as far as filling their forms, but I heard nothing from them. Possibly due to the fact that it is now an old movie or that I am just not important enough. I hope that you like my homage to the Joker.
