When relationships die, we all question why. I have seen so many marrages fail, too many, when the love dies, who is to say what is left? Sometimes it is a friend, sometimes not, but there are always questions.

Verse 1
How, how did it come to this?
Tell me how? How did we let it slip?
We no longer care, no longer have thing to share.
It went wrong somewhere and now we are strangers.

Verse 2
Why, why do we live like this?
I can’t understand all this.
It feels so very wrong and I feel that I can’t go on.
I think that the time has come to face that it is over.

Chorus
We changed so much, we grew up, we grew apart.
Now all I’ve got is this suffocated heart.
The sparkle of romance ain’t here no more.
I long for the romance we had before.

Verse 3
Why? Why did it go so wrong for us?
Why? Why couldn’t we find the perfect love?
Others have, their marrages seemed to work.
Others have, so why did we lose it?

Chorus
We changed so much, we grew up, we grew apart.
Now all I’ve got is this suffocated heart.
The sparkle of romance ain’t here no more.
I long for the romance we had before.

Chorus Part 2
We fell in love, I think we married much too young.
Now look at us, if only we had known.
We seldom talk, I feel I’ve died.
Life is too short, this is no life.

Verse 1 Repeated
How, how did it come to this?
Tell me how? How did we let it slip?
We no longer care, no longer have thing to share.
It went wrong somewhere and now we are strangers.
