I can’t believe that I wrote this song over 20 years ago. I spend a lot of the time driving and while driving I listen to either audiobooks or my music, sometimes and old song that I recorded long ago comes on , like “The Family” and I think I would like to rerecord it bring something different to it. This is one of those songs which I had recorded about the same time as my song “The Love I Denied” The song goes into the same territory as Meat Loaf’s “Two Out Of Three” which was on the Bat Out Of Hell album, if you haven’t heard it check it out; it is an awesome album.

Verse 1
She’s got your eyes, she’s even got your smile
But she don’t love this man the way you used to do
I care for her, I try the best I can
but there’s no room for loving her there’s only you

Chorus
Oh yes I know I’ll never get you back
I love you so but you won’t take me back

Verse 2
I think she knows, frustration makes her sad I’m told
Love is cruel some times I know I try to let you go
I make her cry, she says I’m much too cold I know
I try to let her in I try, but I can’t let you go

Chorus
Oh yes I know I’ll never get you back
I love you so but you won’t take me back
that make me sad

Final Verse
I care for her, I try the best I can, I try,
but there’s no room for loving her there’s only you
