Can’t believe that so many years have gone by. Thirty years ago, before the record deal, before I went to Australia. It is a shame that my old band never got to record it. I love this song especially dancing to it with my wife. Its a good song to end a show and a good excuse to hold the one you love close.

Verse 1
It’s the end of the night, and the band’s going to play the last song.
It’s the very last chance that we’re going to get so come on.
You’ve been sat there all night it’s the very last song, tell me what is wrong.
You say that you’re feeling tired, rest your little head on my shoulder

Chorus
I want to dance with you,
I want to dance with you
I want to dance with you,
I want to be with you for the last song.

Verse 2
Well the outside world is full of lost souls, just searching for someone to love.
And it don’t care if one of us should die tomorrow.
Reach for my hand, darling understand, it’s a chance that we two should take.
No strings attached I just want to dance with you.

Chorus
I want to dance with you,
I want to dance with you
I want to dance with you,
I want to be with you for the last song.

Mid
I want to dance, I want to dance, I want to truly romance you.
I want to dance this night away
With you in my arm the night won’t feel the same
There’s something in your eyes that tells me that you want to.
So come on lets take this chance.
Put down your defences and put your little body against mine.

Chorus
I want to dance with you,
I want to dance with you
I want to dance with you,
I want to be with you for the last song.
