This was written while I was recording our album. It should have been the best time of my life after all we had our recording contract with BMG Records, we had Rupert Hine producing us, we had a music publishing contract with EMI, we were about to record at Metropolis Recording Studios in London where Queen, Paul McCartney you name it had recording and yet I could feel that things where not going as they should have.

Verse One
I thought that I found out and vanquished those old doubts
but now I’ve found that I’m caught out
Suddenly I’m down, out of control now
they sucked me in and I’m drowning.
No escape for me, no no one can set me free!
I’ve joined the chain you see, oh the dream its still burning brightly.

Verse Two
I feel that I sold out, compromise they shout.
You can’t do that they’re saying.
The say I can break out, in time it will work out,
but now is here and I’m burning.
No going back for me, there’s nowhere that I can see.
Blown here by a dream, oh that dream is still burning brightly

Chorus
I mustn’t stop, don’t give up, it took too long to make it.
I mustn’t stop, don’t give in, don’t give it away.

Verse Three
The whole world is turning, time it keeps moving.
Its hard to see what I’m learning.
The rebel within me is wanting to be free
My soul’s been sold and I’m burning.
Its uncertainty that just will not let me go.
It mustn’t get to me oh that dream is still burning brightly.

Chorus
I mustn’t stop, don’t give up, it took too long to make it.
I mustn’t stop, don’t give in, don’t give it away.
