The best thing for me is the food hall, with different products that we don't see at our local supermarkets, including Waitrose. A new home, with new challenges. One of which is u A new home, with new challenges. One of which is unpacking and finding that the sofa won’t fit and the wardrobe needs to be taken apart to to get up the stairs. Pots and pans, plates and glasses now are fighting for room. We are going to have to buy more furniture to make up for the loss of cupboard space. I had some (well quite a few) old records that had been stored in the loft and for the last 10 years in a lockup outside. Before we moved I had found a old record and thought that I would give it a spin, unfortunately my old record player which had also had a similar journey and that I had since I was 17 no longer worked. Yes, I could have bought a replacement drive belt, but it was ugly and Susie didn’t want it in the house. So she bribed me with a new Bluetooth record player. Tonight I set up with my sound bar and looked for a record to play. I was surprised to find this record as it was mine. My mum would have approved. Susie was worried that the records wouldn’t play, but it played wonderfully and took me back to when I was 10 or 11. I am looking forward to hearing my old records. They are right about the difference between digital and the old records. Nor boxes to unpack and maybe I will get lucky and find the screws for my desk so that I can put it back together🤣
