The song starts with the line “You’ve a deep dark secret that you carry inside.” We all have secrets don’t we? Or is this only me?

It is difficult to communicate as a father figure, brother, sister or mother, we see our own mistakes and try to help, but they just don’t get that we empathise, it is different for them. Yeah right! What makes them so special?. Times may change but so far love is eternal. How do we get past the wall? As an uncle I have felt I have had a better chance to get through than my nephew’s parents, but who knows?

My effort to communicate is in this song.

Verse One
You’ve a deep dark secret that you carry inside.
Maybe it’s a dream and maybe it’s a lie.
You feel so lost in yourself that you walk around blind.
Yeah you’re so lost in yourself, you can’t see the light.

Chorus
Nobody knows the way you’re feeling,
nobody understands at all.
Everyone talks without ever hearing,
yeah nobody really knows at all.

Verse Two
You tell me you’re haunted, the past can’t be undone.
Don’t make it so hard on yourself, find yourself some fun.
Yeah you’re too wrapped in yourself, I see you’ve built a wall..
You’re telling me that I’ve never felt and I know nothing at all.

Chorus
Nobody knows the way you’re feeling,
nobody understands at all.
Everyone talks without ever hearing,
yeah nobody really knows at all.

You say we’re all wearing faces, politeness masks us all.
If we ever said what we felt, well it would lead to war.
It doesn’t mean that we’re not true to ourselves, or maybe it does?
Have we found excuses to disguise the truth from ourselves.

Chorus
Nobody knows the way we’re feeling,
nobody understands at all.
Everyone talks without ever hearing,
yeah nobody really knows at all.
